2007 Quarterly Meeting CFCA weekend was a good time with a good turnout. It started off with a golf tournament on Friday which was WINDY and COLD. But we have some die hard golfers. First place went to Lawney Chapman and Joel Elderkin. We were deeply saddened to see Kent Bailey have to accept 2nd place. Better luck next time Kent….. Saturday started bright and early with meetings that were productive. Software Design gave an overview of the CFS Computer Software Program and we thank Ray Pearson for answering questions from people who currently use the program. Dinner and a live Auction took place Saturday night. Tom Poole out does himself again! The Banquet Dinner at the Poolside Terrace was a Luau theme and was a great success (no sucking pig). Great food and deserts mmmm good…. The Auction brought just over $4,000 dollars. Thanks go out to all that brought auction items and those who purchased items. Liz Ferreira-Tapia , President honored Past Presidents at the dinner and presented them with a 25 year pin showing appreciation for making CFCA what it is today. 3rd Annual Royal Caribbean Cruise - November 2007 CFCA sets sail on Nov. 30th from LA and arrives Dec. 1st in Ensenada, Mexico. Ship sails all day on Dec. 2nd and boat returns to LA on Dec. 3rd. We have filled 17 cabins and 29 people will be heading to Mexico. We will be holding meetings and OSHA speaker on Sunday. |
